Substitute Teaching

 

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Substitute Teacher for the Dodge County Board of Education. Substitute Teachers play a major role in our school district. It is vital that qualified, trained substitute teachers are available to temporarily assume these roles when the need arises.

 

How to Become a Substitute Teacher

You are eligible for consideration as a substitute teacher with Dodge County Board of Education if you meet any of the following education requirements:

 

*You have a High School Diploma or GED

*You are a certified teacher

*You have a Georgia Paraprofessional license

*You have at least 60-semester or 90-quarter hours of completed college/university credits

 

Application Requirements/Process

*Applications are accepted at any time and can be picked up at any time at the Dodge County Board of Education

*Clear Background Check

*Completed the RESA Orientation Mandatory Class, you can register for this class by going to the Heart of Georgia RESA website at www.hgresa.org

*Completed the Dodge County Board of Education Substitute Teacher Orientation Class. (Please note that all must be complete before you are recommended for board approval.)
